Right now, I'm in Istanbul on a business trip. It's a nice city and it's surprisingly cold - we experienced snow yesterday! I didn't know such things happen regularly in Istanbul.
Anyway, I'm not able to write articles or specials these days, but I was able to dig up some nice Xenoblade images for you. One is a especially nice greeting card from Nintendo.

A few days ago, I posted a link of an article here on twitter and suddenly, the visitor count almost exploded. It was an interesting experience, so, eh, welcome to all of the new rpg-o-manians!
Updates also continue with the Mana series being in the Retrospective section. So now this series is there and complete as it was in old RPG-O-Mania. Now there are only a couple of things left, and then we have the most complete version of this website online! Hooray!

Let's get it on with content, shall we? I added another game series to the retrospective section. This time it's about Lunar.
You know, the original text I wrote back then was created in 2003. And boy did I have a bad writing back then. Basically, stating that this was "written in 2003" is a lie since I had to redo almost every text.

It's the 1st of January, 2019. This means that the first post here of new rpg-o-mania is now exactly one year old.
Let's take a look back on with what we started last year, or the year before, to be precise. As written in the history section, I've tried to restart rpg-o-mania many times in the past few years, with mixed results.
I'm still a bit sad that NeverTheSameColor didn't succeed as a blog, since I really liked the idea of some nerds writing about stuff they find interesting. Also, we included some rpg-o-mania stuff here, but alas, what's gone is gone.
One thing I wrote in the first news entry last year was that "updates won't be that frequent" - it turned out that I updated the page 97 times last year, which means that almost every three days there was something new.
And how much the page improved over the course of the year - the galleries are more modern now and up to date, there's a nifty backend in the background and the page looks good in almost every resolution.
I really hope that I can keep up with this frequency, but if you like, you're always welcome to browse by, and I promise that there will be new content ever so often.
About 11500 unique visitors were counted in that time, which adds to the 750000 from 1999 - 2008. This means the visitor counter by January 1st, 2019 is now at 761500. Hooray.
But now enough of my rant. I have started to recreate an old section called Restrospective, starting with Phantasy Star.
So I hope you're doing well, enjoy your stay here and have a good time!
Best wishes from your fellow webmaster,

I added a few images to the Screenshots gallery which contains some screenshots from my recent playthrough of Phantasy Star.
This is a special game, since the feel and vibe of the game is inevitably connected to how rpg-o-mania was 20 years ago. More about this in later updates - until now, let's just enjoy the Master System glory slightly refurbished in the Nintendo Switch remaster.
