Today I'm starting a new series of reports. This time, it's about the developer Quintet, a small company that brought us games like SoulBlazer, Illusion of Time or Terranigma.

It's an interesting story of a game company that suddenly just ceased to exist.

Today is the release of the new Pokemon games, "Sword" and "Shield".

For the longest time, I didn't pay so much attention to those games, although they technically are turn based RPGs.

Back when the games came out, I thought "Why would I want 150 creatures when I can have 108 stars of destiny in Suikoden?"

But eventually, in 2013 I also was part of the hype when Pokemon X was released. And yeah, I liked it a lot. I also liked Alpha Sapphire.

To be honest, I'm really in the mood to play the next game now, which I probably will as soon as I finished my current playthrough of Grandia.

I collected some images from the Pokemon games I liked in the new Pokemon gallery.

Oh well. My new job is really great and I love getting into the new company where I work, but additionally to the situation of a new workplace, I also caught a very nasty cold which leads to the situation that I only want to go to bed after I arrived from home. So yeah, that's the reason for the current lack of new stuff.

Alas, today I don't have much for you either. There's a new link online, and it leads to Infinity Retro, a very nice looking retro game blog.

Thanks to Jeremy for reaching out to me, I gladly put your link online here on rpg-o-mania. 😄

Although I am such a big fan of Shining Force, strangely enough never ever did I publish a review of that game here.

But well, then this should be it - here it is: Our Shining Force review, filled with the extra amount of fandom. I tried to stay objective, though.

Enjoy!

We're still on a Grandia spree, and as promised yesterday, I added another special moment to our list of moments. It's of a later part in the game (that makes it a Spoiler! of course).

I really like this game. I think we're in into some more Grandia stuff the next few updates :)
