How can you tell which version is better when they're so different?

I checked out Lufia 2 - the SNES turn based RPG and the DS action RPG. They're both good games, but which one is better?

Find out by clicking the link :)

Just a small one today - I thought I did everything right in regards of the comment form, but we still got a lot of spam here. So I tried to make it a bit more secure to avoid bots.

I still hope that real people can comment now! :D

And here we go! :)

Our "best versions" report has been extended with Grandia - this game has basically three versions to choose from - the original on the Sega Saturn, then the PlayStation version and the newest iteration on Steam and the Nintendo Switch console.

More "best versions" coming up soon!

Adding a completely new area is always a lot of work, but here it is - our new The Best Version set of articles.

It starts pretty small with only two games where rpg-o-mania tries to help gamers in choosing which game to play, but it's going to grow soon just like any other area here on this little site.

Enjoy the new area and be sure to check back regularly for updates :)

I added an "and afterwards" box to our Grandia HD remake review after finishing Grandia on my own.

I deducted 1%, removing the "Classic" badge from the review (which is awarded to games above 80%). The quality of the remaster was oftentimes just too bad (split sprites, desynced music) to really grant this version more than 80%. The original games' rating remains at 81%.

We also have a comprehensive screenshot gallery which covers some special moments from my complete playthrough, so if you don't mind about Spoilers, feel free to take a look at the gallery. The images are all from the remaster.
