Back in 1997, before the days of me being able to conntect to the internet, I was in a RPG craze. Breath of Fire 2 brought me back to turn-based RPGs in September 1996, Terranigma shook my beliefs of good and evil in January 1997, Suikoden made me buy a PlayStation in 1997 and Final Fantasy VII just dropped.
With no time to waste, I tried to do some music - with a trusty tracker at hand (see Digital Music). I think they turned out good enough. However, in 2025, it is a hassle to get a tracker just to listen to some songs. And even if apps like Modizer exists, just listening to an album on your phone can be better than using some decades old technology. So I composed this as an MP3 album. Of even listen to it simply online.
This song combines the tracks "Cosmo Canyon" from Final Fantasy VII and "Crooked Ladder" from Breath of Fire 2.
This song combines tracks "ShinRa Theme", "It's Difficult To Stand On Both Feet, Isn't It?" from Final Fantasy VII and a hint of Breath of Fire 2.
This actually has nothing to do with a "Landstalker 3" game - I mean, if you would count the series, then that would be Dark Saviour on the Saturn, but it has nothing to do with it. This is the second overworld theme from Landstalker, and this was my 3rd remix.
Okay, a song of Mega Man 3 is a bit of a stretch on an RPG website, but this was part of my composing journey back then, and it sounds a lot like the other tunes. And Mega Man is almost Breath of Fire, right?
Yeah, another one from Mega Man... just imageine this is a nice dungeon theme, yes? :D
This is basically my magnum opus of that time. It begins with a music of Terranigma (hence the name). After that, it has a short moment from "It's Difficult To Stand On Both Feet, Isn't It?" (again, this time just as an intermission), then has a moment of "More Than Words" from Beath of Fire 2 and finally "Theme of an Advancing Army" from Suikoden.
This is the best music I ever made - I had time, I had passion, I was freaking 16 years old back then. They're still nice to listen today. And now you can too - without any additional
