The Star Ocean games are part of a long running series created by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix in 1995 with subsequent updates that span up until the PlayStation 4 console and several spinoffs. The games are famous for being challenging, albeit not as deadly difficult as other games from tri-Ace. The looks vary from game to game, with new art and artstyles to be discovered with every game.
